Heavenly realities are found in the presence of God

About This Quote

Heavenly realities are found in the presence of God. This is a quote that really resonates with me. I come from a background of being brought up in an evangelical church, which means it was very much about following the rules set out for you by God. For us, heaven was a place where you were judged by your actions and your behavior.

We were told that our actions were either good or evil and that we needed to make sure to do nothing wrong. The idea was that if you did anything wrong, there would be no place for you in heaven. I think what Nelson Mandela meant is that heavenly realities are found in the presence of God.

These are things that are not only good but are good because God has good things in mind for us. It’s not about doing something because it will bring you closer to God but it’s about looking to God for His good gifts and blessings so that you can truly enjoy them.
